Empty Victories

β€˜We will form two teams,’ Commander said, his eyes burning bright. β€˜Team A,’ He pointed out, β€˜Your job will be to nullify the security. Once you are done, you will signal Team B and return to camp. Team B will receive their instructions separately.’

We nodded, saluted, and left the tent. That night, we executed our task to perfection and retreated. Few hours later, a raucous noise indicated that Team B had succeeded as well.

Viva la revolucion!

The next day, TV news showed the body of the child inside the fridge, that had been flung down from a balcony.
